Machine Requirements

Hardware Requirements

  • Minimum: 4 Cores CPU, 8GB RAM.

  • Recommended: Higher specs for better performance.

Software Requirements

  • Linux Distribution: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

  • SSH Access: Ability to SSH into your Linux server.

  • Dependencies:

    • wget

    • screen

    • htop

How Do I Pick A Server?

Performance and location are a couple of the big factors. Of course the server with more cores and RAM will do better, but it has to be within budget and if you can offset the upkeep.

In terms of location, you would want to get as close as you can to your RPC node and the JITO block engine (if you are using the Jito method).
